… Because the fans carry them all.
… Because it’s the cup.
The NHL Agenda: $$$$$$$$
Gary Bettman and the owners. Steve Fehr and the players. This message is for all of you.
Are the fans important to you? It sure doesn’t seem like it. This lockout is about money, plain and simple. It’s greedy and selfish to punish fans because you can’t agree on how much money to make. I’ve got news for you all: so long as this lockout continues, nobody makes any money.
This lockout is embarrassing. It says, “money is our number one priority, not fans.” My pride in being a fan of the NHL diminishes more and more each day. Each day alienates and frustrates more fans who just want to see their favorite game again.
Get your acts together and end this lockout. This season promised a larger fan base and plenty of growth but this lockout killed that.
I am angry. I’m embarrassed. I’m sick of the greed.
If embarrassed fans aren’t enough to make you get your heads out of your asses, consider how much money you’ve lost due to cancelling one quarter of the season. Millions, huh? It adds up every day. Stop acting like children and get the guys back on the ice before you have to multiply that number by four.
You should be ashamed of yourselves. I sure as hell am.
The Hawks won and my two buddies (whom I intro’d to hockey this season) GRILLED me on the ‘best player in all of hockey’ soon after. Come on, that question is damn near impossible to answer. History, currently, NHL vs. worldwide, etc.
